Xio Isle

Xio is an island of red sandy beaches and hardwood forests. The relatively simple towns that spot the island are deceiving of the nature of this island's power. Castle Xio is home to the Wizard's Guild of Xio. Over a thousand wizards train, research, and live in this massive fortress of granite and marble. The libraries, gardens, and halls of the castle are enormous and it has a staff of over ten thousand who live in a city outside the walls that support the wizards and their apprentices. Castle Xio has become a center of power even though it maintains that it teaches its wizards in peaceful arts only. The sheer collection of trained skill here has attracted trade, hopeful students, and the menace of many nearby peoples.
