The Dukes of Clive
The Dukes of Clive. There are 7 families that rule Clive, (Pronounced Kleev by the locals). The families are lead by:
Clarence of Effingham: Current leader of the Council. A good man, recently ascended to his fathers position. Wants to retire and go back to being a farmer but knows he cannot.
Richard of Sirringham: A natural warrior skilled in most forms of hand to hand combat. A natural strategist and main supporter of Clarence in the quarantine of Dresi.
Hubert of Billingham: Tries to emulate the Golhord in all things, often stymied by his chief sorcerer. A frustrated engineer looking for ways to do everything better or faster and cheaper.
Andrew of Gordham: Widely thought to still possess the first drachma he ever earned. Has expanded his trading fleets immensely over the past decade. The true economic power of the Isle.
Mathew of Caterham: Dresses in dark colors. Silently listening. The other council members know him to be a deep thinker. They suspect him of being the secret ruler of the isle.
Rupert of Bassinford: Fat and getting fatter. Likes his food and drink, likes others to pay for it. Thinks clothes are there to protect him from the weather and that's all. A very messy eater, calls himself a gourmet.
Robert of Frottingham: A sheep. Will go along with whatever the rest of the council think. His mother loves him and helps him dress for the day.
