Blood Wyrms
(Created by Narratio)

Feeding habit: Haemovore.
Size: Very small, 20 to 100mm in length, 2-8mm in diameter.
Locations: Unknown, certainly around the upper reaches of the Tin River.

Characteristics: Blind like a normal earth worm. Possesses cutting teeth like a sea lamprey and a surface analgesic to dull pain. A blood wyrm will attach itself to a larger host and be carried by that host to another area to be dropped off. The bite is almost completely pain free due to neurotoxins in the bite path which actively kill nerve cells. Eggs are laid in that same bite and are carried by the blood stream to major arteries or blood rich organs, heart and liver being prime. The eggs hatch and live off of the hosts body, they will then move along arteries until they get close to the skin surface, they then burrow out, usually killing the hoist and move on to another host, usually carrion feeders. If cut into pieces they will, like an earth worm, regenerate into two or more new blood wyrms.
