Firebrand Island
This large island is a notoriously anarchic territory, with the two ports of Ripper City and Marauder City acting more as giant pirate and smuggling havens. The countless brothels, gambling houses, taverns, bear pits, arenas, and such that litter these "cities" make them beacons to the less desirable humans of the world. The Firebrand countryside is largely constituted of vast unplowed fields; it is essentially a giant prairie or step. Though it is said many a pirate has buried treasure out in these grasslands, few seek them out for fear of the swift wildcats that roam the plains. Among them are jaguars, cheetahs, and lions that hunt the deer and other small mammals of the island. The notorious Red Eye the Pirate was said to have been slain by a Cheetah as big as a horse while he sought lost burried treasure south of Marauder City. Whether this is true or not is not known since rumors fly faster on Firebrand Island than anywhere else.
